Last Shift - How to approach an art test

This piece was created for an Art Workshop for students at the University of Bolton. I worked with Ben Moseley in the creation of this piece. We wanted to show students how to approach a written art test brief and take it all the way through pre-production, production, and final completion.

Brief: Last Shift
It was a high moon and raining outside. A lone engineer has been sent to investigate a tripped alarm in Section 14. She arrives to find everything is in order apart from an indicator on a storage container showing that it is faulty. The extent of the fault can be seen scattered about the room, something that a single light would never be able to convey. She moves to investigate the scene when a loud clang stops her in her tracks. “Something tells me I’m not the only thing in here…”
