For #Blocktober this year I decided to create 8 3D scenes from 8 pieces of concept art. Each streamed session was 2 hours long so I've sped them up and added my commentary over the top. I talk through what I'm doing and why and you can see the 3D scene progress to its finished state in roughly 10 minutes.
Quickly blocking out objects and environments is a great skill to have and helps you check scale, player space and scene composition early on in development. It's a technique that I use often and one that is very easy to pick up.
